Translation equivalents

English:

Major: he / it / she

Secondary: her, him, they, them

Māori:

Notes

The pointing form is used for all personal pronouns, without marking gender or case. Pointing away from the body, as shown, indicates a non-first person referent or pronoun. Although generally a personal pronoun, this sign is also used sometimes with possessive meaning (his, hers, its). Sometimes used for plural (group) reference.
